Not every cat is well socialized and well suited to a life inside the home. The Idaho Humane Society strongly encourages all cat owners to keep their pet inside the home where they will remain healthier, safer and not impact wildlife.
However, if you’re willing to provide shelter and food for one of our unsocialized cats to live outdoors on your property, you can adopt one for $10.
If you’re interested in applying for a barn cat, please fill out the form below and our staff will assist in scheduling a time for you to pick up your barn cats. We will also discuss with you appropriate shelter for an outdoor cat and how to initially bond the cat to your property. All of our barn cats are spayed or neutered, ear-notched, and have received their FVRCP and Rabies vaccines.
The barn cat program is part of our Community Cat Program.
